If you have solar panels, the Powerwall stores excess energy, which is used to charge the Tesla. While the Powerwall itself is costly, starting at around $11,500 (£9,000) and going up to $15,000 (£11,800), it can make the overall cost of charging a Tesla more manageable over time.

If you plan to keep your Tesla for several years, the initial investment in a Powerwall may be worthwhile. While the upfront cost is significant, it could be cost-effective in the long run.
