I Tracked My Daughter’s Phone and Discovered a Disgusting Secret

Some parents make their best efforts to ensure their child’s safety. Concerned about her daughter going to college, a woman named Serena secretly placed a tracker to monitor her whereabouts. What Serena discovered was so sh0cking that she felt lost and betrayed, prompting her to reach out to us for advice.

This is Serena’s letter:

For illustrative purposes only.
I wanted to track my 18 y.o. daughter’s phone as she’s leaving for college. My husband of five years, her stepdad, turned red and yelled, “Don’t you have any dignity? She’s an adult now!” I did it secretly.

I started getting notifications that she kept going to a different location far from her college. So, I decided to follow her. I froze in shock: my husband was there and his car was parked outside. Gathering my courage, I entered and discovered my daughter working as a makeup artist in a high-end beauty parlor. When she saw me, she turned pale. To my horror, I found my husband sitting in a corner, drinking coffee.

They confessed that my daughter wasn’t attending college but was pursuing a career in beauty. She had been passionate about makeup since she was 13, but while her stepdad supported her dream, I insisted she needed a college degree. Over time, she started a successful YouTube channel and became a TikTok and Instagram influencer with over 200k followers, but I always disapproved.

They admitted they’d kept her decision to skip college a secret from me because they knew I would be heavily against it. My daughter begged for a chance to prove herself, but I felt deeply betrayed and even disgusted by their secrecy.
