Dan Bongino made headlines on Tuesday morning after he shared a photo of himself with newly sworn-in FBI Director Kash Patel.
Bongino captioned the photo with an American flag and heart emoji,
leaving many on social media to speculate about what the two men will accomplish while leading the FBI together.
Bongino has been chosen to be the Deputy Director of the FBI under Patel. Bongino, a former Secret Service agent and a strong supporter of Trump, said he was “focused on getting to work” at the bureau.
Bongino told his listeners in an emotional message on Monday morning that he would no longer be commenting on politics.
“It’s not going to be the last show, but we’ve only got a few more left with you,” Bongino told viewers.
So, obviously, we’re going to be working with a team of people to make this transition from me, political commentator Dan, to Deputy Director of the FBI Dan.”
“Those are different roles that require different skills. Skills I have and have used before and I plan to use again. It’s going to hurt to leave you,” he explained.
